Your Canadian or United States Consulate in Cozumel
can assist in passport and immigration problems, and help
in times of serious emergencies here or ‘back home’.
They have VERY limited ability to assist should you find
yourself in serious trouble with the law! The law in Mexico
is based on Napoleonic Code, which basically says you
are guilty until proven otherwise. Best Advice: Do NOT
get into trouble with the law in Cozumel!
